About
Malcolm provides comprehensive assessment and treatment for older adults with serious mental illness. He has expertise in a range of approaches, including nutritional and exercise interventions, interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, psychopharmacology, and neuromodulation. He has research interests in language, statistics, and understanding late-life psychopathology through the lens of complex dynamic systems.
Malcolm completed his general medical training at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Queensland before training in psychiatry at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Victoria. He holds a Master of Psychiatry from the University of Melbourne and a Fellowship and Certificate of Advanced Training in Psychiatry of Old Age from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). Outside of work, Malcolm enjoys being with his family, seeing live punk music, learning mathematics and French, reading novels, and watching rugby union.
